Abstract

Experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE)-prone C57BL/6 and systemic lupus erythematosus MRL-lpr/lprmice were used as models of human autoimmune diseases (AIDs). It was shown that the development of these AIDs associated with changes in bone marrow lymphocyte proliferation and differentiation profiles of hematopoietic stem cells. In parallel these changes result in an increase in proteinuria, titers of auto-antibodies against DNA, myelin basic protein (MBP) and mouse peptide MOG35-55
, as well as in the increase in antibodies catalytic activities in the hydrolysis of DNA, MBP, and MOG35-55.
It was shown that the mechanisms of the development of the EAE and SLE are very similar.
