The acidophilic chemolithotrophic microorganisms mixed culture’s adaptation to high concentrations of nickel ions in nutrient medium (12, 14, 16, 18, 20 g/l) was carried out. A culture cell’s growth was saved with all concentration variants. Culture adapted to 20 g/l Ni ions was chosen to research oxidizing activity. The ferrous oxidation rate with adapted culture was about twice as high than the control one.
