Abstract

The article describes the botanical interests of the famous scientist and traveler Vladimir Klavdievich Arsenyev (1872–1930), as well as his scientific and personal connections with Russian botanists (N.A. Palchevsky, I.V. Palibin, D.I. Litvinov, P.V. Syuzev, A. A. Strogiy, N.I. Vavilov, V. F. Ovsyannikov, N. A. Desulavi, V. L. Komarov, V. M. Savich and I.N. Savich, I. K. Shishkin, G. I. Gail, A.D. Voeikov, B.V. Skvortsov and others). The publication is based on the book and archival collection of the scholar, stored in the Society for the Study of the Amur Territory (OIAK) in Vladivostok. Particular attention is paid to the still unpublished travel diaries that the scientist kept from 1906 to 1927 with breaks.
