Abstract

99 varieties of the world collection and 11 interspecific hybrids of potatoes of the Institute of Plant Industry (IPI) selection were studied in 2019–2020 in terms of productivity, starch and vitamin C content. The results of hybridization using varieties – sources with a complex of economically valuable traits and DNA markers that control potato resistance to pathogens – are presented. Crosses were carried out in 230 hybrid combinations, hybrid berries in the amount of 343 were obtained in 80 hybrid combinations. The percentage of berry setting ranged from 12 to 100%.
