Stages of identification, development of indigenous gold deposits and the main activities for the expansion of the mineral resource base of the Priamurskaya gold-bearing Province (Amur River Region). V.A. STEPANOV (Research Geotechnological Center, FEB RAS, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatksky), A.V. MELNIKOV (Institute of Geology and Nature Management, FEB RAS, Blagoveshchensk).
The formation affiliation, types and parameters of ore bodies of 24 most productive indigenous gold deposits of the Priamurskaya gold-bearing Province are considered. According to the amount of gold extracted, they are assigned to the first (from 0.5 to 10 t), second (10–50 t) and third (more than 50 t) categories. The deposits are unevenly distributed within the Province, so historically there have been three major gold mining centers – Western, Southwestern and Eastern. There are four stages in the history of the identification of indigenous gold deposits in the Priamurskaya Province: early, middle, late and modern. The change of stages was accompanied by the discovery and commissioning of deposits that differed from the objects already known at that time by other types of ore bodies, parameters and
productivity of gold mineralization.
