The method of water consumption prediction in the Russian part of the Amur River basin.

The uniform method of water consumption prediction has been proposed for the Russian and Chinese parts of the basin, based on the application of the multiple linear regression. Possibilities of this method are shown on the example of the prediction of total water consumption for the Russian part of the basin and agricultural water consumption for the Chinese part. Calculated statistically significant regional models for the prediction of water consumption reflect the specifics of water use on its Russian and Chinese parts of the basin. The quality of the models is verified on independent data. The proposed method can be used at different territorial and sectoral levels.
