Abstract

100-th anniversary of the Pacific Science Association. V.I. SERGIENKO, M.B. SHTETS (Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vladivostok).

An article considers the history of the establishment and development of the Pacific Science Association, which unites scientific organizations of the Pacific Region countries, and the participation of Russian Academy of Sciences in the Association. The role of the Association in the international exploration of the Pacific Ocean and the Pacific Rim countries is highlighted.
