Abstract

Experiments on obtaining a colloidal solution of selenium were carried out by laser ablation, ultrasonic and mechanical dispersion of selenium. The target in the work was elementary selenium of the «OCЧ» grade. Laser ablation resulted in colloidal solutions of selenium with particles having an average size of ~50–60 and ~400 nm. With the help of an ultrasonic bath in an aqueous medium, particles with an average size of ~200 nm were obtained. The ultrasonic rod oscillatory system allows obtaining particles with an average size of about 100 nm. The distribution graphs of the number of particles for mechanical dispersion have peaks of average values of 100 and 150 nm. Dispersing methods were used to prepare aqueous colloidal solutions of selenium for its use in biological research.
