Interaction of a glass melt with aluminum during the formation of glass-metal composite

The results of investigations of the interaction of glass melts of the composition 62SiO2–5.5Al2O3–2.6MgO–6.5CaO–13.6Na2O–9.8B2O3 with the surface of an aluminum casing under various fabrication conditions of glass-metal composite are reviewed and summarized. The optimum temperatures for pouring the glass melt and the rotational speed of the centrifuge are determined. The parameters of the aluminum-glass diffusion layer are also determined.
