Conference of the forestry officials in Khabarovsk – is an important stage in the development of the original Far Eastern forest science. Yu.I. Man’ko (Federal Scientific Center of the East Asia Terrestrial Biodiversity, FEB RAS, Vladivostok).
The work of the Congress of forestry officials of the Amur General-governorship, which was held in 1908 in the city of Khabarovsk, is characterized. The Congress summed up the work of forestry since its beginning and outlined the ways of its further development, taking into account the characteristics of the forests of the region. The results of the Congress were reflected in the proceedings, which were given the minutes of the meetings and placed the speeches of the participants, as well as adopted documents containing the search for original ways in forestry. “Proceedings” were sent to the management of state property of neighboring regions, as well as to forest educational institutions, so that the decisions of the Congress received the all-Russian publicity.
