Preliminary results of marine expedition organized by G.B. Elyakov Pacific Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry FEB RAS together with scientists of National Scientific Centre of Marine Biology on research vessel “Akademik Oparin” in June–August 2019 is presented. During the expedition, more than 2.5 thousands specimens of marine invertebrates, fishes and seaweeds were collected. The new data of the marine organisms and seaweeds representation as well as the changes in the benthic communities of the Sea of Okhotsk and the Northwest Pacific Ocean were obtained. The analysis of chemical diversity of biologically active compounds and biological activities of the marine invertebrate and seaweed extracts was conducted. Some marine animals were selected to enrich the collection of hydrobionts of the Far Eastern Seas (A.V. Zhirmunsky National Scientific Center of Marine Biology FEB RAS, Primorsky Aquarium).
