Abstract

The principal possibility of forming polymethylolacrylamide/TiO2 composite by electropolymerization method is shown. Distinctive features of the process are the one-stage and short production time (5–10 min) of the hybrid film on the electrically conductive surface. It has been found that the most stable dispersion of the TiO2 powder in the aqueous monomer composition is formed in the presence of a surfactant Glucopon 650 EC and antifoaming agent “Penta 4604”. The electrochemical and impedance characteristics of the composite formation process are determined. The example of methyl orange decomposition shows that the polymethylolacrylamide/TiO2 composite film has a photocatalytic activity.
