A series of new bismuth fluorozirconate glasses has been synthesized, in which both phosphate and fluoride components have been introduced. Based on the studies, glass formation, thermal, optical, and structural properties of glasses in ZrF4–BiF3–BiPO4 , ZrF4–BiF3–MF–BiPO4 , ZrF4–BiF3–PbF2–BiPO4 systems are discussed.
