As a part of the systematic research of the structure and properties of complex fluorides of metals of the III–V groups of the Periodic system of chemical elements, focused on the study of synthesis conditions and identify the structural features of this class of compounds, carried out at the laboratory of rare metals chemistry, Institute of Chemistry FEB RAS, a series of new complex fluorides of antimony(III) with various amino acids in the crystalline state have been obtained from aqueous solutions. The structure of 12 synthesized complex fluorides of antimony(III) with amino acids was studied, new structural motifs have been revealed, data on physical and chemical properties of these compounds were received, and an action of some of them in relation to pathogenic microorganisms was investigated. The purpose of this work is to summarize the accumulated knowledge of complex fluorine-containing compounds of trivalent antimony with amino acids.
