Abstract

In 1964, the Institute of Biologically Active Substances – now the G.B. Elyakov Pacific Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences was founded. The article discusses the main scientific directions of the Institute, its structure, staff and prospects for development.
