Abstract

The main results of the work of the laboratory of vegetation ecology of the Institute of Water and Ecological
Problems FEB RAS over the last decade are presented. The trends of vegetation cover changes in the Amur Region and on the Okhotsk coast in connection with natural and anthropogenic factors are revealed. The change of ecologically highly effective coniferous formations by derivatives whose ecological functions are characterized by a much lower potential in ecosystems is noted. The tendency of reduction of areas of rare species of vascular plants is revealed. Large source areas of adventitious plants and their distribution in the Amur Region and on the coast of the Tatar Strait were discovered. The process of inventorying the vegetation cover of the Botchinsky Reserve and the Anyui National Park has been completed. New materials on rare and endangered plant species are summarized, and the Red Data Book of the Khabarovsk Territory is prepared for publication.
