A composition of echinochrome, ascorbic acid and α-tocopherol acetate (5:5:1), which exhibits a high antioxidant effect, can be used in the therapy of the inflammatory process in the lungs. This composition exhibits a pronounced synergistic anti-inflammatory effect, decreasing as compared with echinochrome and a complex of ascorbic acid– α-tocopherol (5:1), perivascular and peribronchial edema, lymphoid infiltration and alveolar expansion in rat lungs caused by the administration of lipopolysaccharide.
