The Cenozoic deposits structure of the Amur Bay depression

Abstract

The analysis of geophysical survey’s materials (seismic profiling, gravimetry, magnetometry), obtained in the Amur Bay in expeditions of POI FEB RAS is executioned. It was shown that the depression of the bay is an asymmetric graben within which two continental sedimentary sub basins with the Cenozoic deposits up to 700–1100 m were determined. A map of the relief of the surface of the Neoplestocene sediments deposited in the basins of the paleo Razdolnaya and palaeoAmba-Barabashevka Rivers was constructed. The regime of marine sedimentation in the Amur Bay was established in the late Neopleistocene-Holocene.
