About multidisciplinary approach to the finding and identification of faults (continental coast and islands of Peter the Great Bay)

Abstract

The multiplicity and complexity of geological and geomorphological situations associated with faults cause necessity of the use of different methods and features for their evolving. The most complete analysis and synthesis of diverse geological and geomorphological information and remote sensing materials from space for the finding and identification of dislocations of this type are realized by the morphostructural and morphotectonic study of the region only taking into account investigation data of coastal polygons. The identification of disjunctive dislocations of possible complete pattern of territories is a necessary condition for the effectiveness of engineering-geomorphologic, engineering-geological work, assessment of geodynamic hazards, etc.
