Abstract

Some issues of an attempt of the Far Eastern Branch of the Siberia Research Institute formation are discussed in this article. The role of S.M. Shirokogoroff, the younger anthropologist of the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography of the Russian Academy of Science in this project is emphasized. Unfortunately, because of change of a political situation the Far Eastern Branch was abolished in the spring 1920.
