The assessment of corn varieties and hybrids in the conditions of Priamurye Region.

The article presents the research results of the best early maturing corn hybrids, which served as an object for studying and obtaining self-pollinated lines that determine the stability of productivity attributes. The main objective of research is to distinguish prospective breeding material for the creation of varieties, hybrids with high resistance to biotic and abiotic stressors. The research shows that the best variety samples ensured productivity at the level of 7–9 t/ ha with good technological requirements for mechanical harvesting. Self-pollinating corn lines with high saturation are able to preserve useful features: high productivity, the optimal height of a plant, cob attachment and number of cobs. The best prospective hybrids were not inferior to regionalized varieties and hybrids.
