Abstract

A new method has been developed for the gravimetric determination of resin content in oil, oil products and asphalt-resin-paraffin deposits (ARPD). Before the extraction of resins from the samples under study, it was proposed to remove paraffins and asphaltenes at the first stage by sorption on alumina, silica gel or silica from rice husks, and then carry out the extraction of resins with an alcohol-toluene mixture. The developed method allows for analysis within 1 day with an error of 5-10 % and simultaneous determination of paraffin and asphaltene content in the analyzed object.
