Abstract

The article, based on archival materials, traces the main stages of the formation of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, provides a chronology of the main scientific and organizational events from 1969 (the year of the government decision on the formation of the Far Eastern Scientific Center of the USSR Academy of Sciences) to the present day.
