Abstract

Literature data on synthesis methods, crystal growth conditions, polymorphism, crystal structures, and physicochemical properties of lithium borates with cadmium and zinc are summarized. The results of the main studies and the prospects for the use of compounds as luminescent matrices, pigments, and materials for electrodes of lithium-ion batteries are briefly considered.
