Based on the integration of the objectives of the state environmental policy and public initiatives supported by academic science, the authors discuss the main directions of wilderness conservation, focused mainly on the conservation of biological diversity, reducing environmental risks and lowering the level loss of functionality of “ecosystem services” in geosystems. Geoinformation mapping of the territory was performed, calculations were made on the degree of anthropogenic disturbance of the municipal districts of Primorsky Territory. In the strategic point of view, standing public-ecological and environmental initiatives are reviewed, comments are given on the necessary restrictions in natural management of the polarized territorial development of Primorye, including foreign investors.
