Abstract

During a complex scientific expedition on the Matua Island we have carried out research of seismic regime to reveal seismic activity, spectral analysis of seismic noise in various periods of time, analysis of registration capabilities of the network of field seismic stations. Seismic situation in the Central Kuril has been analуzed. Catalogs and maps of earth­quake epicenters have been compiled. Obtained data allowed getting an idea about space-time distribution of seismicity and ascertaining accuracy of earthquakes hypocenters definition.
