Abstract

The 19F NMR method was used to study ionic motions in eutectic composites of the composition 90SnF2-10PbF2 obtained by various methods, PbSnF4 and the metastable fluorite phase 84SnF2-16PbF2. It was found that the shape of the 19F NMR spectra of all samples and the nature of their temperature transformations are similar. The activation energy of ionic motions in the composites depends on the method of their preparation. The crystalline samples and the composite obtained by long-term sintering had the lowest activation energy. The ionic electrical conductivity of the samples exceeds 10–3 S/cm at 400 K.
